Marriages are experiencing so many severe attacks so much so
husbands and wives are asking themselves this question, “Who am I married
to?” Well, who are you married to? While you are pondering the answer think
about your very first meeting it may have been as if heaven kissed the earth or
time stood still!
Still pondering? That
is good now listen carefully, there are some doors you may have unknowingly
left open and the enemy is using these open doors to reap havoc in your
marriage relationship.
In some cases both husbands and wives have left the door open
to former girlfriends and boyfriends.
Still others have refused to put family members in order while others
allow themselves to be evilly dominated by each other just to name a few. Now a days you could be wondering if you are
married to a demon instead of the beautiful caring spouse you married!
The thing is though it is not who you are married to. Do you not know, you could have possibly
allowed the enemy to come into your marriage undetected? The Word is speaking from the book of Genesis
2:15-17 (15)”Then the LORD God took the
man and put him the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it.” (16)”And the LORD God commanded the man,
saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;” (17)”but of the tree
of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you
eat of it you shall surely die.”
Take an even closer look at this passage of scripture God had
given Adam a direct command to take care of the garden and surely Adam did
convey this to his wife Eve. Together
they were perfect and lived in harmony with each other but an intruder visited
them one day and their relationship was never the same. Read of how the intruder infiltrated himself
and used the serpent to carry out his plot to not only destroy the tranquility
of the first couple but to have their God given authority taken away from
them. Genesis 3:1 “Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which
the LORD God had made. And He said to
the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the
garden?” (2)”And the woman said to the
serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the tree of the garden;” (3)”but of the fruit of the tree which is in
the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you
touch it.” Now read how the intruder
mixed lies with truth, (4)”then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not
surely die.” He continues with his lies, (5)”For God knows that in the day you
eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and
evil.” Eve did the unthinkable and
Adam did not even protest or take a stand to carry out the command that God had
given to him. (6)”So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was
pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its
fruit and ate. She also gave to her
husband with her, and he ate.” Thus
today the question is ringing like a telephone, ‘Who are you married to?
I just stopped by to tell you there is hope! Run to the refuge of Abba Father, get on your
knees and repent, (me too) seek His face read His Word and pray for each
other! Roman 12:1 is speaking “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
to God, which is your reasonable service.”
(2)”And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and
perfect will of God.” Begin this day
to really put your trust in God! Forgive
yourself, now forgive each other!
May Yahweh give to you His wisdom and courage to stand up and
deal with the real issues that threaten to destroy your marriage relationship!
Listen, Adam was given total power and authority over every
animal yet he allowed the serpent to deceive Eve and not only that Adam also
allowed the serpent to talk to Eve about what God had already commanded him to
do and sadly both Adam and Eve believed the lie lets read it together, (5)’For
god knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will
be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Their beautiful marriage was never ever the same! They were evicted from the paradise of the
Garden of Eden to a life filled with torment and pain. Who are you married to?
Could it be that you have compromised in your marriage and
like Adam, you have been passive and allowed your wife like Eve to deal with
the enemy? Have you bought into the lies
of the enemy?
Believing the lies of the enemy is actually what will give
Satan ground to come into your marriage relationship and cause you to view each
other as Satan himself personified!
Red Alert! “Who are
you married to?” If you are asking
yourself this question, Satan has already gained ground in your marriage! The
Word is speaking Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon
formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in
judgment You shall condemn. This is the
heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me says
the LORD.”
Repent this day as husbands and wives and begin to cut away
and sever every evil soul tie, ask Abba Father to reveal to you which doors
have been left open and through the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ
close those doors forever to the enemy!
It is echoing, forgive each other and make it a priority to show
appreciation for one another! Stop
complaining about each other and start dealing with every issue as they arise
and whatever you do, do not go to bed angry with each other! Seek to settle your differences and respect
each other.
Pray together, study the Word together, stop the silent
treatment and talk to each other, resume social activities and you will rediscover
each other and reignite the passion and love you once knew
Who are you married to?
The world will see that you are married to Jesus Christ! For His light will be shining so brightly in
your marriage people of every nation will be drawn to the Light! Come on give Abba Father thanks and praise
for who you are married to!
